Working towards becoming a 'Local Nature Reserve'
Natural England (NE) visited the reserve on Tuesday 2
October to discuss the possibilities of the nature reserve becoming a LocalNature Reserve.
The representative from NE spent 2 hours walking the site and
discussed with an officer from the Borough Council the work needed to allow the reserve to gain the LNR status. The Friends of Pilley Bridge are very
keen on working towards this status along with CBC .
Community Orchard
Representatives from the Friends of Pilley Bridge and an Officer from the Borough Council recently met with a representative from Gloucestershire Orchard Group to discuss which
varieties of fruit and the number of trees to plant in the planned community orchard.
