Saving Leckhampton's Green Fields

Despite the abolition of the Regional Spatial Strategy, the beautiful green fields in Leckhampton are being targeted by developers who want to build many hundreds of houses here. The non party-political Leckhampton Greenland Action Group (LEGLAG) has launched a petition to ask Tewkesbury Borough and Cheltenham Borough Councils to designate the green fields in our area as a Country Park in order to protect the fields from inappropriate large scale development.

More details about the petition including a downloadable version is available on my website: http://www.charltonparkcheltenham.co.uk/id11.html
LEGLAG are organising a public meeting on September 29th at Leckhampton School, Hall Rd, at 7.30pm. Local residents are invited to come along and hear more about LEGLAG’s ambitions for the green fields in our area. Local Councillors and MPs have also been invited to attend. More details on LEGLAG and the fight to keep Leckhampton’s fields green can be found on their web site at http://leglag.org.uk
