Consultation on Boots Corner plans delayed

It had been hoped that the consultation on the junction changes which will enable the partial closure of through traffic at Boots Corner would happen in January this year.

The County Council have said that consultation is slightly behind schedule as some of the junctions have thrown up 'unexpected issues'.

They are currently planning to consult on the changes in March and will be holding an exhibition in the town centre for a least a week, possibly two.
Details of these exhibitions will be widely publicised and they will offer an opportunity for residents to come and look at the proposals in details and ask questions or relay comments in addition to the other formal methods of responding to the consultation.

Meanwhile I am in regular contact with local residents regarding their concerns, most frustratingly at the moment is  the lack of information about the impact of displaced traffic around Cheltenham.

Officers at the County and Borough Councils are still working on the details of the proposals but that shouldn't stop information being easily available for local residents to see how the impact of displaced traffic has been assessed.
