I understand that 180 dwellings are proposed on this Greenfield site.
The exhibition is being held at the Hatherley and Reddings Cricket Club on the Shurdington Road at Chargrove towards Shurdington on the following dates:
Tuesday 4th December between 3pm and 8pm
Wednesday 5th December between 3pm and 8pm
Despite only a couple of days notice and the consultations not being held conveniently in Leckhampton or Shurdington village centres, local residents are being urged to attend one of these exhibitions.
It is vital for people to go along and make their views known because if this Greenbelt site were to be given the ‘green light’, then it would be extremely difficult to try and defend the other nearby proposed development of 1,300 dwellings at Leckhampton.
The usual concerns about the huge increase in traffic volumes, greatly increased risk of flooding and the impact on landscape value all still apply to this proposed development as well as all the usual problems with Primary and Secondary School education, GP surgery, employment etc.
LEGLAG supporters will be in attendance at the Exhibitions to monitor the responses to the proposals.
