The road width and type of works dictate that, to ensure the safety of both the travelling public and our workforce, it will be necessary to close the road to traffic between the 12th and 15th April.
The work on the 11th April involves replacing localised damaged kerbs, this work will be undertaken under temporary traffic lights and so will not require a closure.
Vehicular access will be extremely limited during the closure due to the nature of the work and size of machinery to be used. Should you require any assistance with access or egress to your property please speak to the operatives on site who will assist in any way they can. Please allow extra time for any journeys that you need to make.
Both occupiers and drivers are asked to be patient throughout this period of disruption, we will of course make every effort to minimise the inconvenience.
We would further take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your co-operation. Should you have any queries please contact us on 08000 514514.
Please note that parking on the affected road will be prohibited between the hours of 07:30 and 19:00 during the works. Should any vehicles remain on the highway we will of course make every effort to contact the owners, however in order to avoid unnecessary costly delays, any vehicles causing a disruption to the works may be removed by our specialist removal company to a secure area where the vehicles will remain until collected by the owner. Should you find that your vehicle has been removed, please contact GH on 08000 514514 where we will explain how to collect your vehicle.
In order to assist with the works there will be no vehicular access from Highland Road onto Sandy Lane. Hence residents of Highland Road/Littledown Road/Southfield Approach/Everest Road/Southfield Rise/Southfield Close/Tensing Road/Hilary Road should access these roads via Old Bath Road.
